Blake was born and raised in upper-East Tennessee. After graduating from Daniel Boone High School, he spent two years working as a volunteer in the Washington DC metro area.
Blake later attended Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista, VA where he studied English and Art. He married his wife, Bianca in 2009 and graduated cum laude in 2011.
Shortly thereafter, Blake and his wife moved permanently to Virginia and began a career with Humana. Four years later, after a prosperous run, Blake felt that he could better serve his clients as an independent insurance agent. For the next couple of years, he successfully marketed various Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and prescription drug plans.
Later, in 2017, Blake accepted a position as an agent manager with United Healthcare. There, he helped to roll out UHC's D-SNP plans, and worked with his agents to strengthen the UHC brand in the Roanoke, VA market. Some of the agents he trained are among UHC's top producers in the state.
Blake brings nearly a decade of Medicare-focused experience to Tidewater. He has been a captive agent, an independent agent, and an agent manager. He has worked directly for two prominent Medicare Advantage companies and has maintained AHIP certification since 2011. With a wealth of expertise, Blake is excited to help you learn the ins and outs of Medicare and he is eager to show you the value of having a Senior-market focus.
